Feeling like you’re not doing/being enough?

I just came across this video and it was a great reminder for me so I wanted to share. Of course, life is not a competition so there is no actual ahead or behind, but it can most definitely feel that way when we don’t have what we perceive others to have or we haven’t achieved in the way we’re expected to.

Whenever I get stuck in those mental states, I try to take a step back and look at what I’m doing already to see I’ve already got and also remind myself what it is I actually want. If it doesn’t match up with what I’m criticizing myself against, then it’s easier to let go of the anxious feeling. We are all at different stages of many things all the time, but that doesn’t mean we are ahead or behind, it means only that – we are at different stages.
